Have you ever felt…
Not good enough?
Like you can’t manage everything?
Overwhelmed and frustrated because you take care of everyone else’s needs and neglect yours?
Frustrated by your current relationship, possibly like you are doing all the work and getting nothing in return?
True transformation comes when you realize YOU are the person who needs to take care of you. It is not selfish to recognize and attend to your own needs. I want to help you feel empowered to recognize how your needs and wants fit into societal, familial, religious, and other expectations. When conflicts arise between our expectations and others, understanding our needs and wants becomes incredibly important to maintain healthy relationships between ourselves, our loved ones, and social constraints. I will help guide you in your exploration of your ideals to create more authentic, fulfilling connections.
Through our work together, you will gain insight and learn to challenge the voice in your mind telling you that you are not good enough. We will develop a new language for you to effectively have a voice advocating for your needs. I am passionate about assisting people to empower themselves to live authentically and cultivate meaningful connections to themselves and their loved ones. I work with teens, adults, and couples.
MY BACKGROUND AND APPROACH
I received my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University. I strive to foster a collaborative, safe environment that will allow you to process your emotions, thoughts, worries, and triumphs in a judgment-free space. I use a holistic approach to help you explore how your past experiences affect your current stresses and issues.
After therapy with me, my clients feel congruent with their inner self, confident in who they are, and able to separate their identity from others. My clients are empowered to overcome their people-pleasing tendencies that often leave them feeling frustrated and resentful.
Therapy with me is
-
Safe
Aiming to create an environment where you feel secure, understood, and free to express yourself without fear of judgment or repercussion.
-
Empowering
Providing you with the skills to achieve your goals through awareness, discovery, responsible choices, and self-determination. As life change occurs, you become capable of working within a supportive and insight-oriented framework.
-
Exploratory
Focusing on improving your ability to understand yourself and the origins of the issues you face in order to live a more rewarding life and have healthier relationships.
We all want to feel safe and supported in therapy and we also want to see change. I am experienced in working with clients to see the change they desire in their lives in a variety of issues. I focus my practice on working with teens and adults.

In Oklahoma, Candidate for Licensure means that I have completed all my education and have passed all the testing required by the Board of Behavioral Health. I describe this similar to a resident in the medical field. All licensed professional therapists in the state of Oklahoma are required to gain 3000 hours of supervised experience before they are able to be considered licensed. I currently meet weekly with a licensed and Board approved supervisor to review my caseload.

As a candidate for licensure, I do not file with insurance. My cash pay rate is $125 per session. I have some reserved spots for sliding scale fees for clients who may need it due to financial hardship.
-
Sessions with me are in a nonjudgemental place to explore thoughts and emotions with curiosity and acceptance through lively debate or quiet moments of reflection, with humility toward the life experience.
-
My curiosity about the human experience and our need for connection while forging our own path toward self-acceptance made me want to be a therapist.
Let me be the support you need.
