Have you ever said to yourself…
“I’m so tired of feeling this way.”
“I’m ready for change but feel stuck and exhausted.”
“I need some insight to see my part in this situation.”
“How do I keep repeating the same unhealthy patterns in my relationships?”
Let me help you navigate the story of your life and understand your unique experiences through the therapeutic relationship. Therapy should be holistic, and a blend of therapies unique to you, joined beautifully together to help you gain insight and heal from the past. As you come to better understand yourself and your surroundings in therapy, you will be better able to grow and move forward through life.
While you often demonstrate strength and resilience, at times you need someone to come alongside you in your healing. I desire to be that person for you, creating safety in a judgment-free space. I will help you get to the root of your challenges, finding relief from the painful experiences, leading to long-term change. While honoring the beliefs of each person I counsel, you get to decide how much Christian faith you want to be included in your treatment with me to ensure your values and beliefs are part of your healing.
MY BACKGROUND AND APPROACH
I earned my Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Oklahoma Baptist University. My training focused on relationship dynamics and family systems. While in my Master’s program, I found meaning in models like Narrative Family Therapy and Experiential Family Therapy, which work beautifully together to help you gain insight and heal. I utilize aspects of Structural Therapy, Narrative Therapy, Attachment, and Relational Therapy when I design a customized treatment for each client.
After therapy with me, my clients describe feeling empowered by the insight they’ve discovered so they can overcome challenges on their own while identifying their own needs and not simply focusing on pleasing others.

In Oklahoma, Candidate for Licensure means that I have completed all my education and have passed all the testing required by the Board of Behavioral Health. I describe this similar to a resident in the medical field. All licensed professional therapists in the state of Oklahoma are required to gain 3000 hours of supervised experience before they are able to be considered licensed. I currently meet weekly with a licensed and Board approved supervisor to review my caseload.

As a candidate for licensure I do not file with insurance. My cash pay rate is $125 per session. I have some reserved spots for sliding scale fees for clients who may need it due to financial hardship.

A session with me, can vary depending on what it is we are working on, but I strive to foster an environment that feels safe and protected for you. Ways that I have tried to do this by giving people space to explore their feelings without the pressure of “fixing things” immediately. I also always try to understand where a client is at and why they believe what they believe. I want to also make sure that you feel heard and understood by an unbiased person in my session. In addition, I work to build a therapeutic relationship that provides us with the security for me to challenge you as we work to create change in your life.

I have always loved helping people. Whether that was by being a babysitter, a coach, or a Resident Assistant in a college dorm and now as a Marriage and Family Therapist; I want to serve and help people in whatever capacity I can. When choosing a career, counseling was a way for me to help people both in the immediate moment of hurt and pain, but also help them create a better future for themselves. This job is not always easy, but it is a job that I love to do and look forward to doing every time I have a session.
It’s your turn to get the help you deserve.
