Common questions about therapy for men

  • There are a variety of evidence-based interventions that your therapist will use based on the specific changes you want to make. That being said, therapy requires you to do some hard work of being vulnerable, digging deep, and being honest about yourself for significant changes to last.

  • Each individual case and situation is unique so it is impossible to give an exact number. However, it is recommended to have a minimum of 10-12 sessions to see real progress. Your therapist will check in with you regularly to see how you feel about your progress and treatment with a willingness to collaborate about when you would like to end treatment.
