Have you ever asked yourself…
Am I the problem in this relationship?
Why am I so overwhelmed all the time?
Why am I not good enough for my partner?
How do I not let my emotions control my life?
My mission is to walk alongside individuals, couples, adults, and adolescents during any of the challenges life is throwing at them, no matter how big or small, while honoring foundational Christian truths of scripture. My goal is for each person who walks through our doors to experience the compassionate care available in an environment that promotes safety and healing. I work with you to increase personal insight and motivation to change those things that are harming us, whether it be in negative relationships, feelings of hopelessness, or addictive behaviors.
Growing up the only daughter from a divorced family of six, I learned early the pain that life can sometimes bring. I experienced the long-term impact it can have on relationships, core beliefs, and the ability to cope in healthy ways.
That being said, I realize it can be a very vulnerable place, sitting on a couch, talking to a stranger, opening up, and sharing about some of the most painful experiences of your life. I don’t take this role lightly. As a Christian, I feel called to use the gifts God gave me to help others grow in maturity. By working through unhealthy thoughts and behaviors, we can attain a close relationship with God that is so beneficial to our well-being.
Often the word Christian instantly makes one think of judgment. However, my clients have expressed the safety they feel working with me; and for that I am humbled. My understanding of being a Christian is filtered first through the lens of love, and that is what I want clients to experience. “Love is patient, love is kind…” Love is also honest when coming from a place of sincere concern.
I understand therapy is helpful when we learn the balance between what we can control and what we cannot. It is then that we need to take a hard look at ourselves to recognize how we contribute to the problems in our lives. I want to walk alongside each person, as they gain insight into themselves. I want to help them take ownership for ways they can develop into healthier versions of themselves, by helping them to learn to let go of what is not theirs to own.

In Oklahoma, every therapist must be supervised for their first 3000 hours of experience. I have received additional training on how to help those clinicians hone their skills so that they can be effective and ethical therapists into licensure. I am approved by the Oklahoma State Board of Behavioral Health to provide this supervision of clinicians who are persuing licensure.

The first four sessions together are us getting to know one another. I think of it as you painting me a picture of all that your life has looked like so far. I think this is necessary to holistically look at the patterns or beliefs in your life that you are wanting to change. Then moving forward, you will get a mixture of empathy, challenge, and sometimes humor as we delve deep into how you became you.
