It is my honor to provide support in the therapeutic relationship while allowing you to lead the way. Do you need help recognizing irrational thoughts, finding new meaning, and embracing a new phase in life? I can help you move from a place of confusion to clarity, from feeling unworthy to fulfilled. I will guide you to embrace the flaws that exist within you while simultaneously striving to be better and motivated for continual growth.
MY BACKGROUND AND APPROACH
I am currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Oklahoma. I am a veteran who served as a US Army Field Artillery Officer for 7 years with one deployment to Iraq. I am a husband and father of two young children and believe that it is important to move towards living authentic lives fulfilled with self-purpose. This pursuit of purpose and honesty is a lifelong journey, but one that is worthy. I see you, the client, as the ultimate expert who can reach your therapeutic goals with the support of a capable therapist. I likes to use humor, authenticity, and general warmth in therapy sessions. In my free time, I enjoy playing pickleball, running, and making music.
I enjoy working with veterans, men, the elderly, adults, older teens, and couples. After therapy with me, my clients feel heard and supported. My clients are empowered to overcome life’s obstacles as they have grown through the challenges therapy with me brings.

In Oklahoma, Candidate for Licensure means that I have completed all my education and have passed all the testing required by the Board of Behavioral Health. I describe this similar to a resident in the medical field. All licensed professional therapists in the state of Oklahoma are required to gain 3000 hours of supervised experience before they are able to be considered licensed. I currently meet weekly with a licensed and Board approved supervisor to review my caseload.

As a Candidate for Licensure, I do not file with insurance. My cash pay rate is $125 per session. I have some reserved spots for sliding scale fees for clients who may need it due to financial hardship.

My sessions are tailored to what the client needs, so we might have an interactive session with a family client who needs to work on communication. While a client who needs someone to listen will have a different and more laid-back feel. Some clients may need movement, so we may take a stroll and talk, or a teen client might want to play a card game. I strive to meet clients where they are and be in tune with ways to help facilitate the therapeutic process.

I have always believed that therapy is a good thing for all people in general. I see the intrinsic value of therapy and how it can facilitate growth and healing. Also, I believe that human beings are deterministic and although not all behaviors are problematic, we are capable of changing things in our lives, rather than simply having outside forces act upon us. These beliefs made me want to be a therapist, to help people find ways to grow and be more resilient in ways that they value.
Let me be the support you need.
