Do you feel…
Fear that your marriage problems are unsolveable, like you’ve been living as roommates for too long?
Desire for a deeper connection in your relationships with your partner, kids, friends, and family?
Overwhelmed and stuck in your trauma?
Hopeless that your life can have a purpose?
Life stressors, relationship issues, traumatic experiences, and anxiety can lead you to feel overwhelmed, stuck, and sometimes hopeless. If you want your life story, your relationships, and your emotional and mental health to be described in words such as "purposeful, confident, hopeful, growth, and connected", then starting therapy with me might be the next step for you.
After a few sessions of getting to know you, together we will develop a treatment plan to help you achieve the goals you have for therapy. I will customize my therapy with you, honoring your values, beliefs, customs, and experiences allowing you to find purpose, confidence, and hope in yourself, your relationships, and your future.
MY BACKGROUND AND APPROACH
I earned my Master of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy from Oklahoma Christian University. With my couples, I use a mix of Gottman and EFT to rebuild trust, improve communication, and deepen your emotional and sexual intimacy. For my other clients, I integrate a blend of therapies including Attachment, Family Systems, CBT, and Narrative. I am trained in EMDR for trauma and Prepare & Enrich for couples preparing for marriage.
After therapy with me, my clients describe feeling stronger in their connection and emotional safety with each other. Couples feel like a team, making intentional time for each other, and accepting each other for who they are, even with their differences. My clients with trauma are able to recall the event without the severity of symptoms, recognizing the experience was painful and scary but not feeling overwhelmed which impacts their daily lives. My clients feel an understanding of themselves, their needs, and their value.

In Oklahoma, Candidate for Licensure means that I have completed all my education and have passed all the testing required by the Board of Behavioral Health. I describe this similar to a resident in the medical field. All licensed professional therapists in the state of Oklahoma are required to gain 3000 hours of supervised experience before they are able to be considered licensed. I currently meet weekly with a licensed and Board approved supervisor to review my caseload.

As a candidate for licensure I do not file with insurance. My cash pay rate is $125 per session. I have some reserved spots for sliding scale fees for clients who may need it due to financial hardship.

A session with me looks like a space to work towards the goals you want to achieve, a time focused on you and what you want to change in your life. I'm here to help create a safe atmosphere so you feel comfortable opening up at your own pace. At certain times though, I'll bring to the surface things you might not have noticed yet so that you can continue to do the hard work of changing. Through safety, mutual respect, a desire to make changes, and my past education and current learning, each session will help you get closer to achieving your goals and living the life you've envisioned.

I've always been interested in the mental health field because I grew up with a Dad who was a marriage and family therapist, and as of a few years ago, now my Mom is a therapist as well. Close family and friends have always told me that I have a compassionate heart, and after graduating from college, I came to realize that my God-given talents lined up in a way that made going into the career of therapy the perfect fit. I simply want to use the skills I've learned and the talent I naturally have, to help others live a purposeful and hope-filled life that they've envisioned. Since I first started seeing clients, I've prayed that God guides me to help the people who sit across from me in the therapy room. It's an honor to walk alongside clients through their pain and struggles, hear their stories, and see the hard work they put into therapy to make positive changes.
It’s your turn to get the help you deserve.
